Тризуб — український національний герб, герб України у формі золотого тризубця особливої форми на синьому полі; у минулому — герб князів Рюриковичів і Київської держави.
Є думка, що тризуб Володимира — це символ ідеї державної влади. За іншими версіями — символ влади над трьома світами — небесним, земним і підземним, або ж символ-ключ до розуміння алфавітів земної писемності. Дехто припускає, що тризуб це знак «Шу» («Шукання»), тобто нагадування про закони природи з метою підвищення людської активності та відповідальності за свій розвиток.
